In order to cultivate scholastic enthusiasm, broaden their horizons, and deepen their understanding of econometric methods, on the afternoon of December 10, 2021, the School of Economics invited Professor Michel Lubrano from the University of Aix-Marseille in France to conduct five-day online lectures for the students of the scholastic school. These online lectures mainly introduced the principles of Bayesian inference and linear regression, Monte Carlo Markov chain, probability distribution inference, lognormal distribution, and mixed distribution, etc.

In the lectures, Professor Michel Lubrano enthusiastically explained the principles of Bayesian inference, linear regression and Monte Carlo Markov chain to students through Demonstration-Practice-Display. As a classic method widely used in economics and statistics, Professor Michel Lubrano encourages students to spend time and energy to study it in depth.

Through these online lectures, the scholastics students deeply felt the breadth and depth of economics and also understood how difficult it is to study the basic methods and principles of economics that they have learned daily, to study a specific content and put it into practical application. Everyone said that they would take diligence as the path to climb the mountain of books bravely.
