II. Culture St. Petersburg is not only Russia’s second largest city, it is a situation of tripartite confrontation with political, cultural and economic triumvirate. Its architectural, artistic and literary heritage has profoundly influenced the world, making it part of the global cultural heritage. The Hermitage, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Hermitage Museum and other cultural treasures make the city an impressive representation of cultural treasures. The history of St. Petersburg is a culmination of Peter the Great’s vision and leadership and a symbol of the city’s rich and valuable cultural heritage. With the site visits and interactive lecturers, the students were able to gain a deeper understanding of St. Petersburg’s history and culture, and closely experience the city’s cultural heritage and customs. The Church of the Savior of the Blood, which is architecturally very different from other buildings in St. Petersburg. Other churches are mainly in Baroque and Neoclassical styles, while the Church of the Savior of the Blood is deliberately designed as a medieval Russian building, similar to the 17th-century Yaroslavl Church and the famous Vasiliy Berlarenko Church in Moscow’s Red Square.
The Hermitage, one of the “Six Palaces Complex” of the Ermitazh Museum in the Russian State Museum. It is located on Palace Square in St. Petersburg and was originally the Imperial Palace of the Tsars of the Russian Empire. After the October Revolution, it became part of the Elmitazh State Museum in St. Petersburg. The Hermitage is not just a palace, but a witness to Russian history. Looking from the outside, the Hermitage is magnificent, and every stone seems to tell the story of the past. And we were struck by the incomparable interior when we walked in. With the golden dome and exquisite frescoes, every decoration was breathtaking. We felt the history and culture of Russia in the Hermitage, as if we have traveled back to that glorious era. Whether you stroll through the galleries or sit quietly in the halls, you can deeply experience the charm of the Hermitage.
St. Isaac’s Church, with its spectacular exterior, has a huge dome covered with pure gold leaf that shines in the sunlight. The walls and pillars of the church are made of high-quality marble, exuding a sense of sanctity and majesty. Walking into the church, we were struck by the magnificent decorations inside. The walls are inlaid with beautiful mosaic patterns and the ceiling is painted with magnificent frescoes.
The Summer Palace of St. Petersburg, an important royal palace during the Russian Empire, which combines elements of Baroque, Classical and Neoclassical architectural styles and displays a unique artistic charm. The majestic appearance of the palace, golden sculptures and exquisite reliefs glittering in the sun, highlighting the royal dignity and luxury. The interior decoration of the summer palace is also gorgeous and exquisite. The glorious murals, inlaid gems, gorgeous chandeliers and exquisite furniture, which reflects the unique charm of the Russian court culture.
III. Life The Russian school prepared single dormitories with the standard room configuration for the students, a table, a chair, a lamp, as well as a closet, bedside cabinets and shoe cabinets. The bed is particularly soft with an additional sleeping mat based on its original mattress, and the bedsheets are also in the traditional Russian pattern, and the whole room is small and elegant coupled with the view from the window. IV. Summarize The ten days of the course have finally come to an end. We were excited about the economic situation in Russia and had many impressive moments. We will apply what we have learned in practice and make our own efforts to promote the sustainable development and economic prosperity of our country. As can be seen from the St. Petersburg State Economic University summer study program conducted by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, international study programs not only provide learning resources and professional knowledge, but also promote cultural exchanges and friendship. Students enhanced their international vision and cultural self-confidence through teamwork, visiting to places of interest and understanding of the local energy market.
