Seeking Input from Faculty, Pooling Strengths, and Collaborating on Development and Quality Improvement—School of Economics Holds Faculty Symposium

On the afternoon of April 1, the School of Economics held a faculty symposium in Conference Room 815. All members of the school’s leadership team and faculty representatives from various departments and divisions attended the meeting, where they engaged in candid discussions and jointly explored measures to promote the school’s high-quality development. The symposium was chaired by Zou Chunfa, Secretary of the Party Committee.

During the forum, faculty members spoke freely and engaged in in-depth discussions regarding existing issues in the School’s operations. They also offered constructive suggestions on the cultivation of students in the Elite Talent Training Program, student interest in studying abroad, the development of the theoretical economics discipline, social services, and other key issues concerning the School’s development, providing important references for the School’s scientific decision-making and targeted policy implementation.

Zou Chunfa, Party Secretary of the School, delivered concluding remarks. On behalf of the School’s leadership team, he expressed sincere gratitude to the faculty representatives for their concern for the School’s development and their active and candid contributions. They will integrate the principles of serving the public interest, benefiting the people, making scientific decisions, and taking practical action throughout all their work. The opinions and suggestions gathered at this symposium will be carefully organized, studied item by item, and implemented one by one, effectively transforming the wisdom of the faculty into concrete development measures to ensure that all tasks are carried out thoroughly, meticulously, and with tangible results.

This symposium served not only as a concrete manifestation of the college’s problem-oriented approach but also as a significant initiative to seek advice from the public, pool collective wisdom, and jointly plan for development.
