School of Economics Holds Expert Review Meeting for

2026 National Social Science Fund Projects

On the afternoon of May 21, 2026, the School of Economics at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics held an expert review meeting for the 2026 National Social Science Fund projects in the Comprehensive Building of the North Campus at Jiaoqiao. The meeting invited three distinguished experts—Professor Yu Yongze from Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (a Young Changjiang Scholar appointed by the Ministry of Education), Professor Mei Dongzhou from Central University of Finance and Economics (a Young Changjiang Scholar appointed by the Ministry of Education), and Cui Xiaoyong, Tenure-Track Associate Professor at Peking University—to provide guidance and conduct a comprehensive review of the National Social Science Fund projects the School plans to apply for this year.

At the review meeting, each principal investigator presented a detailed report on key aspects of their project, including the research background, academic value, research framework, technical approach, innovative aspects, and expected outcomes. The expert panel, in accordance with the latest application policies and review guidelines of the National Social Science Fund, provided “one-on-one” targeted guidance. They offered in-depth feedback on the precision of topic selection, the logical coherence of the argumentation, the robustness of the theoretical foundation, the applicability of research methods, and the articulation of innovative points. They also provided specific suggestions for revisions and improvements to help the faculty members further clarify their research ideas, refine their applications, and enhance their competitiveness for project approval.

This review session represents a significant initiative by the School of Economics to strengthen organized research and improve the quality of national-level project applications. The principal investigators of each project expressed their commitment to carefully reviewing and incorporating the experts’ feedback, expediting revisions to the application materials, and striving to achieve excellent results in the 2026 National Social Science Fund project application cycle, thereby elevating the School’s success rate in securing national grants to a new level.
